Marching down the Avenue of States

Mr. Kevin McAvoy, Ludlow High School Band Director was pleased to share that the Ludlow High School Marching Band performed in the Massachusetts Day Parade at the Eastern States Exposition on Thursday, September 22nd.  The LHS Band joined eleven other marching bands from schools across Massachusetts and Connecticut in front of a crowd of thousands.

"Preparing for a parade performance so early in the school year was a challenge but the students in the band really rose to the occasion and did a fantastic job,” proudly commented McAvoy.

He went on to explain performing at the Big E has become a new tradition for the band, “It is a fun social event for the band students and a great way for the band to show their Ludlow Pride."  After the parade the students were given time to explore the fairgrounds and enjoy some time together.

The next performance for the marching band will be on October 15th in Palmer’s 300th Anniversary Parade.

Drum Majors: Senior, Natanael Feliciano and Junior, Celia Neveu.
