At Ludlow High School, Madame Tammy Cook's Honors French 4 class has been debating (entirely in French) over the course of several classes. The main question of the debate has been Do multiple cultures in a society make it stronger or weaker?
Half of the class was assigned the task of preparing arguments which support "weaker", and the other half had to prepare arguments which support "stronger."
After analyzing and debating both sides of the impact of multiculturalism on society in French, students will then reflect, and draw their own conclusions, in the form of a persuasive essay, written in French.
