On October 26th the Ludlow High School Guidance Department sponsored their annual College Fair. This event is an excellent opportunity for LHS seniors as they finalize their college choices and meet the college admissions people who will be reading and evaluating their admissions applications

Mrs. Linda Duame, Ludlow High School Guidance Coordinator, stated, “Since the first year, the annual College Fair has grown in size. This year we hosted 88 4-year colleges participating in this week’s fair, three 2-year colleges (HCC, STCC, and Asnuntuck) in attendance, 5 technical schools, and five branches of the military who joined the fair this week.”

The College Fair also gives juniors the opportunity to seriously continue their post high school planning process in earnest as they start to build their college/tech school list, long before they need to finalize their post high school plans as a senior. Duame explained that for the last few years LHS sophomores have also been included in the college fair, so that they could begin their college exploration process.

“Early post high school planning is one of the key objectives in the national Reach Higher initiative and is also one of the main objectives of the LHS guidance department,” stated Duame.
